NXW grows advisory board

NXW has appointed global manufacturing leader, Alan van der Nagel, to the Advisory Board to assist with global scale up and partnership planning.

Alan is Director of Fonterra New Zealand Manufacturing and has decades of experience leading global manufacturing and managing multi billion capital asset projects for nutrition companies including Fonterra, Almarai and Parmalat (Lactalis).

Alan’s appointment builds on the recently formed NXW advisory board, which includes Impossible Foods’ first employee Nick Halla, Bernardo Torres of strategy, innovation & design consultancy Uncommon, and Jim Lees, former President of Fonterra Americas.

NXW CEO Toby Lane says the appointment of dairy experience as well as complementary nutrition experience is intentional.

“We are taking a nutritional lens to scaling up microalgae technology and dairy is a complementary nutrition portfolio New Zealand is a world leader in. We are excited to have Alan’s global experience joining our Advisory Board as we begin to explore scale up production requirements and partnerships with leading nutrition companies” explains Toby.
